Information for presenters ========================== Parallel session talks are 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes for discussion); plenary speakers have been advised of the time reserved for their talk upon invitation. Laptops with projectors will be available in all session rooms. Please prepare your presentation in Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format. However, Powerpoint (.ppt, .pptx) or OpenDocument Presentation (.odp) formats are also acceptable, but no other formats can be supported. You must upload your parallel presentation at least one hour prior to the start of your parallel session. To do so, please log into the conference management system at https://express.converia.de/frontend/?sub=51 and select "View your papers/sessions", then click on the little presentation symbol under "Actions", select the file to upload and click on the button "Upload presentation". Plenary speakers will be advised separately on how to upload their presentations. Posters should be in A0 portrait format (841 mm wide, 1189 mm high) or smaller. They must be affixed to the assigned poster boards (using the removable adhesive strips provided) before 5pm on Tuesday and removed before noon on Wednesday. Posters left up after this point will be removed and may be collected from the conference office until the end of the conference; any posters left uncollected will be destroyed. Poster presenters assigned even-numbered spots should be present to discuss their posters during the first hour of the poster session, and presenters assigned odd-numbered spots during the second hour. Travel and Transportation ========================= Mainz is located extremely conveniently for international visitors: Frankfurt Airport (FRA), which is served by over 500 flights each day, is located only 30 minutes from Mainz on a direct local train service. Follow the signs to the local train station ("Regionalbahnhof / local trains") at the airport. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket vending machines (note that these accept only coins or banknotes of up to €20). The correct ticket is called "Einzelfahrkarte nach 6500/Mainz über 3700/Rüsselsheim" and costs €4.25 per person. The safest option is to take the local train "S8" to Mainz Central Station ("Mainz Hauptbahnhof"). For budget flights from and to many European destinations, the airport Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN, served by Ryanair) is connected to Mainz by a non-stop shuttle bus. To get to the coach station ("Busbahnhof"), turn right when exiting the terminal building and walk past the parking lot. The coach to Mainz leaves from bay "N" and the coach fare is €13.00 payable to the driver. For more details on how to get to Mainz, please refer to our website at http://www.lattice2013.uni-mainz.de/79_ENG_HTML.php The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Mainz, which is conveniently located close to the city centre and can be reached easily using public transportation. A public transportation ticket valid during the conference will be included in the conference package as part of the name tag. Venue and Organization ====================== A welcome reception and registration will be held on the evening of Sunday, 28 July 2013, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the bar/restaurant "Proviant-Magazin" in the city centre of Mainz. The conference programme starts in the morning of Monday, 29 July 2013, and ends at lunchtime on Saturday, 3 August. All sessions will take place in the building "Recht und Wirtschaft" (ReWi). Plenary sessions will take place in the central lecture theatre (RW1), which is capable of seating 1,000 participants. For parallel sessions, seven rooms have been reserved. Laptops with projectors will be available in all rooms. Please prepare your presentation preferably in Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format, although Powerpoint (.ppt, .pptx) or OpenDocument Presentation (.odp) formats are also acceptable. Please upload your presentation through the conference management system at least one hour prior to the start of your session. Parallel session talks are to be 15 minutes long (plus 5 minutes for discussion). The poster session on the evening of Tuesday, 30 July 2013, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, will take place in the foyer of the ReWi building.
